Quantum Aviation Solutions, Inc. announced it will partner with DALGlobal Services to offer PAXTrack(R), real-time passenger tracking for special needs passengers. This technology will allow Quantum to help its airport and airline customers meet recent initiatives that require better service for special needs passengers including the disabled and unaccompanied minors. December 2006; Quantum Enters the Baggage Management market with its acquisition of BagSuite from Lufthansa Systems AG.
Quantum Aviation Solutions, Inc. announces the purchase of the BagSuite product set from Lufthansa Systems AG. This transaction was concluded in May 2006 and has been followed by a carefully planned transfer of customers and technology. BagSuite is comprised of two main components: BagScan, the baggage reconciliation system (BRS), and BagTrail the baggage management system (BMS). The acquisition provides Quantum’s experienced management team with an excellent product and global customer base. This move supplies Quantum with its first solution in a planned array of offerings of “below the wing” airline operations while allowing Lufthansa Systems to focus on its core competencies and markets. Lufthansa Systems remains a strategic partner with Quantum and the two companies look to cooperate on future opportunities. Read More
